Premium comfort for the A330neo fleet

The Portuguese airline is the launch customer for the new Airbus A330-900neo long-haul aircraft and will be equipping the cabin entirely with Recaro aircraft seats. The award-winning CL6710 is being deployed in the business class. “In addition to ergonomic comfort, the CL6710 stands out with its light weight and efficient use of space in the cabin,” says Dr. Mark Hiller, Chief Executive Officer and Shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating. 

Outstanding comfort for passengers

The CL6710 offers each passenger their own separate area with direct access to the aisle. Seat length, seat width and the various possible seat positions, such as the relax position and the completely flat bed, invite passengers to stretch out and rest. When changing position, the seat moves at an ideal, predefined angle so that the passenger's body is optimally supported in the seat at all times. A six-way adjustable head rest supports the neck perfectly – even if the passenger is wearing headphones and enjoying the inflight entertainment on the 16-inch monitor. The seat’s timeless design enables customer-specific features, such as the storage compartments selected by TAP. “We opted for the CL6710 since it offers our passengers an outstanding living space while being highly efficient,” highlights Trey Urbahn, Chief Commercial Officer, TAP Portugal. With the launch of the new A330neo fleet, TAP will soon be offering its passengers premium Recaro comfort in all classes. In 2016, Recaro Aircraft Seating delivered over 6,600 lightweight seats to TAP for the retrofitting program for short and medium-haul A319, A320 and A321 aircraft. With the new configuration, ideal ergonomics and lightweight design from Recaro, additional seats can fit into the cabin – with enhanced passenger comfort.
