Lindemann elected to the executive committee of the German Aerospace Industries Association

Andreas Lindemann was elected to the executive board, which consists of 22 voting members, by the BDLI’s member companies as representative of the manufacturers group III, “Equipment”. The new members of the executive board met for their first constitutive session on March 31, 2014.

“I am very pleased to have been elected to the executive board and by the trust which the member companies have placed in me,” Lindemann explained. “As a representative of Recaro Aircraft Seating in Germany’s most important aerospace body, I intend to bring up important impulses and topics that are relevant to small and mid-sized companies.”

The BDLI represents the interests of an industrial sector, which owing to international technology leadership and worldwide success has become a significant driver of economic growth in Germany. Combining almost all strategic key technologies, the German aerospace industry with a directly employed workforce of around 100,700, achieves an annual turnover of currently 28.4 billion Euros. The primary responsibilities of the BDLI include communicating with political institutions, public agencies, industry associations and foreign diplomatic representatives in Germany. The BDLI is officially accredited by the German Bundestag (parliament), where it fulfills a number of legally-stipulated roles. The association is also responsible for organizing the ILA, the international aerospace exhibition in Berlin.
