Hainan Airlines relies on Recaro comfort in its Dreamliner aircraft

Headquartered in Haikou, China, Hainan Airlines was founded in 1993. It has expanded to become China’s largest independent airline with a fleet of over 200 aircraft, including Boeing 787 and A330 aircraft. With a large network of routes it covers all of China as well as Asia, Europe, America, Oceania and Africa. Hainan Airlines operates over 700 domestic and international routes flying to nearly 100 cities worldwide. Owning and operating a young fleet of aircraft, Hainan Airlines has accumulated more than 5 million hours of safe flights, making the airline one of the world’s safest.

Since 2011, Hainan Airlines, with its high quality service standards and continuous years of service innovation, has won six consecutive global SKYTRAX five-star airline ratings.

Since 2016, Hainan Airlines has been expanding its fleet, including 34 Boeing 787-9s.This twin-engine wide-body aircraft can carry up to 300 passengers on long-haul flights. Nine of these B787s will be fitted with the CL3710 from Recaro in economy class.

The multi-award winning long-distance seat combines maximum living space and comfort with an exceptionally low weight: weighing in at less than 12 kilograms, the CL3710 is one of the lightest products in its class. This is achieved without compromising on passenger comfort: the seat brings together all of Recaro's expertise in ergonomic efficiency. As part of product development, 18 inventions were registered for patenting. The living space for passengers is also convincing: the CL3710 offers maximum knee and legroom. In addition, the seat also offers convincing modularity: standardized interfaces enable the seat to be perfectly adapted to customer requirements.
