The new Recaro business class concept meets various requirements: The seat has direct aisle access. It offers excellent living space in a high-density configuration which can be adapted to a variety of standard cabin layouts. “An exclusively designed compartment offers space for stretching out in a relaxed sitting position as well as for undisturbed sleep. Maximum passenger privacy is available by withdrawing into the compartment area facing away from the aisle,” explains Klaus Steinmeyer, Vice President Business Development at Recaro Aircraft Seating. The flat sitting and lying surface is formed by raising the leg rest and extension. A generously proportioned stowage compartment is integrated below the lying surface. Features including IFE, reading lights, stowage areas, dining table and other options can be flexibly configured according to customer specifications.

The design team also placed “visual comfort” at the top of the list for the new Recaro concept. The attractively accented contrast between the compartment’s dark outer surfaces and light interior speaks a global language. Non-reflective materials, clean lines and aesthetic contours emphasize the premium quality of the design. The atmosphere of exclusivity promised by many airlines in elaborately designed airport lounges can be offered in the future to business class passengers in the cabin with the new Recaro concept. A perfect way to invite passengers to come inside, sit back, relax, and enjoy their journey in an aesthetically appealing atmosphere.
