First delivery of Recaro’s CL3710 to South America
SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany, and BOGOTA, Colombia. Recaro Aircraft Seating has, for the first time, received an order from a South American airline for its CL3710 seat. Avianca placed an order for 3,170 units of Recaro’s CL3710 model of aircraft seat. The economy class seat specially developed for long-haul flights will offer Avianca’s passengers an amazing flight experience on the airline’s Airbus A320 family aircraft.

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany and STOCKHOLM. The airline Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is modifying the economy class seats BL3520 from Recaro Aircraft Seating for some 40 aircraft of its fleet. The German aircraft seat manufacturer will supply the parts for SAS‘ modification project as early as fall 2017. Only a few months lie between order and delivery.

QINGDAO, China – During its Global Supplier Conference on May 12, Recaro Aircraft Seating honored four of its suppliers for their outstanding achievements. The winners of the Supplier Awards are Ohnhäuser and Wipro. Franklin Products and Karl Berrang were the finalists. The event took place for the first time in Qingdao, the aircraft seat manufacturer Chinese site.

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany – Recaro Aircraft Seating continues its successful growth trend. Last year, Germany's largest aircraft seat manufacturer and world market leader in economy class seats increased its sales by almost 11 percent to 452 million euros. For the first time, the company recorded a delivery volume of more than 100,000 seats. Close to one third of the products sold in 2016 were new products.

SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany and LONDON. British Airways and Iberia, two airlines of International Airlines Group (IAG), have once again chosen Recaro Aircraft Seating, the global market leader for economy class seats, ordering 9,000 units of the lightweight SL3510 model. The extremely comfortable seats will be installed on the two European airlines’ new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft and are scheduled for delivery in early 2018.
