New Recaro business class seat CL5510 takes off with Cathay Pacific
Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. Cathay Pacific is implementing a new business class seat by Recaro Aircraft Seating: The airline has ordered seats of the type Comfort Line 5510 for regional business class flights. The delivery of the first shipsets has started in mid-September 2012.

Schwaebisch Hall, Germany/Swiebodzin, Poland. On September 27, 2012, Recaro Aircraft Seating inaugurated a newly constructed production facility in the Polish town of Swiebodzin. The 10,000-square-meter plant will focus on the final assembly of economy class seats. By moving into the new building, Recaro Aircraft Seating has doubled its production space at its existing site in Swiebodzin. The new plant in Poland is part of the aircraft seat supplier’s expansion of worldwide capacities.

The aircraft seat supplier and the airline have signed a contract to this effect that includes equipping short- and mediumhaul Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 aircraft exclusively with economy class seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating by the end of 2014.
